Villa made an eye-watering approach to Mauricio Pochettino but, as reported elsewhere, those close to him believe he will wait for other opportunities. Was always likely to be a battle to convince him #avfc

It appears that Pochettino is not prepared to risk his reputation by rolling up his sleeves and attempting to turn around Villa’s hopes. After a relatively disappointing stint at PSG, he will be fully aware that his next managerial post has to be a success if he wants to remain as being considered to be one of the most attractive coaches out there.
