Tottenham Hotspur want €100 million from Bayern Munich before selling English striker Harry Kane to them, according to Bild.
The 33-time Bundesliga winners tabled €70m for the Spurs star earlier today, but it was quickly knocked back and they must improve their next bid to have any chance of tempting the Premier League club into doing business with them.
Bayern are hoping to part with less than €100m for Kane and have established contact with the 29-year-old and his family after the club met on Monday and made him their top priority target this summer, reaching an agreement in principle.

The German club struggled last term after failing to effectively replace Robert Lewandowski, getting eliminated by Manchester City in the quarter-final of the Champions League, and they reckon landing Kane will help boost their chances in the Europe elite competition next term and going forward.
However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is expected to play hardball over a deal, and Bayern may need to up their bid and table more than €100m to have a chance of luring the North London club into doing business.
Kane is in the final year of his contract and is also attracting interest from Manchester United, but Spurs are not keen on strengthening one of their direct rivals and are still hoping to convince the striker to sign a new deal.
The England international hitman is his club’s and country’s all-time highest goalscorer with 280 goals and 58 goals, respectively, and is also the second-highest Premier League all-time goalscorer with 213 goals, so remaining in England to break Alan Shearer’s record of 260 goals is likely to be more appealing.
Joining Bayern guarantees trophies and the chance to prove his quality in another country, but Spurs are not ready to let go of their most important player and manager Ange Postecoglou cannot afford to lose Kane if he wants to end the club’s 15-year trophy drought next season.
The striker will finally get to be in charge of his future once his current contract ends next year and could decide to wait until then to earn a signing-on fee and choose where he wants to play next from the plethora of options set to be available.
