Inter Milan are keen to sign Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga this summer.
That’s according to a report form Tuttomercatoweb who claim that Inter are eyeing a loan move with the option to buy the 24-year-old Tottenham ace as an alternative option to Merih Demiral in the summer transfer window.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has already strengthened his central defensive ranks this summer with the signings of Micky van de Ven and Ashley Phillips.
So he may well be tempted to allow Tanganga to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
And it seems as though the Hackney-born defender could be set for a big move away from Spurs…
European giants are now keen to sign ‘excellent’ £21 million Tottenham star
TMW reckon that Inter are exploring a loan to buy deal for Japhet Tanganga this summer.
talkSPORT once described Tanganga as ‘excellent’, and on his day he is certainly a very good footballer.
Calcio Mercato claimed last summer that Spurs could sell the 24-year-old for around £21 million. It remains to be seen whether the north London outfit will demand a similar amount this time around though.
Tanganga has made 50 appearances for Tottenham over the past few years. He has never been a guaranteed starter, so it wouldn’t be surprising at all if Ange moved him on this summer.
As mentioned earlier, the Spurs boss has already brought in central defensive reinforcements. So if Inter Milan make a reasonable offer for Japhet Tanganga, he’ll most probably be off to Italy before the end of the transfer window.
