Jamie Carragher wants two specific signings brought into Liverpool before the transfer window slams shut on Friday.
Liverpool produced a truly stunning second-half performance against Newcastle yesterday, coming back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 at St James’ Park…with 10 men!
Jurgen Klopp would have been delighted with the result and the fight shown by the players, as would the fans. However, it’s clear to see that the Reds boss still needs to bring in a couple of new signings before the window closes, if he is to guide his side to a successful campaign.
And Carragher has let the German know exactly what he needs to get Liverpool back on track and fighting for trophies once again…

Carragher is spot on here in my opinion.
Liverpool still need to sign a top-class defensive midfielder to compliment Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai- someone like Sofyan Amrabat would be ideal. In addition to that, Klopp needs to bring in an elite left-sided centre-back – maybe someone like Piero Hincapie?
Liverpool certainly seem to have some of their swagger back, but they are far from the finished article. The attack looks set to cause all sorts of problems for opposing teams this season but the defence and midfield definitely need slight improvements.
It will be interesting to see whether or not there is much transfer activity at Anfield over the next few days.
