Leo Hjelde, Darko Gyabi and Cody Drameh could follow Middlesbrough-bound Sam Greenwood out of Leeds United

Leeds United attacker Sam Greenwood is set to join Middlesbrough on a season-long loan, and the Elland Road club are also listening to offers for Leo Hjelde, Darko Gyabi and Cody Drameh, according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.

The aforementioned quartet are not in the immediate plans of Whites manager Daniel Farke, while some other Leeds players out of favour under the German could also join them in leaving Elland Road before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Greenwood came on as a substitute in last night’s Carabao Cup defeat to Salford City to make his second appearance of 2023-24 having also gotten off the bench against West Bromwich Albion in the third Championship game of the campaign.

The 21-year-old played 23 games across all competitions last term, weighing in with a goal and three assists, but Farke is not a fan and he will be keen to impress under Michael Carrick at Riverside Stadium.

The Boro are yet to win a league game this season, with a draw and three defeats to their name, and they are desperate to get all the help they can in the market to replicate the form that made them reach the play-offs last term.

Gyabi has also made two appearances so far this term, but the Manchester City academy graduate is down the selection order in midfield and some Championship clubs are expected to come forward for his services in the coming hours.

Drameh has spent the last two seasons away on loan from Leeds, and the 21-year-old full-back could be leaving once again despite coming off the bench against Shrewsbury Town and Ipswich Town this season.

Hjelde spent last season on loan with Rotherham United, and it is surprising that Farke wants the Norwegian left-back gone.

The 20-year-old played 90 minutes against Salford last night, was involved in action for 45 minutes against Shrewsbury and also played the first-half against Cardiff City in the opening league game of the season.
