Newcastle have now made a bid to sign ‘extraordinary’ 24-year-old attacker

Newcastle appear to be well in the race to sign Galatasaray star Nicolo Galatasaray this summer.

That’s according to Aydinlik who claim that Newcastle have now made an offer for the 24-year-old Galatasaray ace.

Galatasaray are said to want around £26 million for Zaniolo – a player who only joined them in the January transfer window.

Magpies boss Eddie Howe is clearly keen to bolster his attacking midfield ranks at St James’ Park before the start of the new Premier League season, or at least before the transfer window slams shut.

And it seems as though Zaniolo could well be the man for the job at Newcastle…

The Toon are believed to have submitted an official offer for the Italy international.

Whilst details of that offer have not been shared by, it’s claimed that the Turkish giants are holding out for €30 million (£26 million).

The former Roma star would be a fine addition for Newcastle, I’m absolutely sure of it.

Zaniolo is a world-class player in the making, and Italy boss Roberto Mancini once described the 24-year-old as an ‘extraordinary’ player (Goal).

Since joining Gala from Roma six months ago, he has bagged five goals and one assist in 12 games for the Super Lig outfit.

The Italian has the athleticism, stamina and energy needed to succeed in the Premier League and he would provide Howe with a completely different option in the final third.

Nicolo Zaniolo can not only play as an attacking midfielder but as an orthodox central midfielder and a right winger as well. Standing at 6ft 3in tall, he’s a real unit and would be a superb signing for Newcastle this summer, especially for just £26 million.

It remains to be seen whether the Toon are prepared to match Galatasaray’s demands though.
