PSG considering another attempt for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele

Paris Saint-Germain are considering another attempt for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele having asked about him during each of the last three transfer windows, according to the Daily Mail journalist Simon Jones.

The 26-year-old, who currently earns £200,000 per week, has two more years left on the six-year contract he signed when he joined Spurs from Lyon in 2019.

Ndombele spent part of 2021-22 on loan at his old club before spending the whole of last season on loan in the Serie A with Napoli.

The Frenchman is not in the plans of manager Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham want him out as taking his huge wages off their bill will be relieving.

The North London club have already signed England international midfielder James Maddison and have moved on from Ndombele.

He was not selected for any of his side’s matchday squads for their opening three league games and Napoli’s decision not to activate their option to sign the French midfielder permanently dealt a blow on Spurs.

Ndombele has scored ten goals and bagged nine assists in 91 games across all competitions for Tottenham and it is safe to say he has played his last game for them having failed to impress Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte and Postecoglou with his behaviour.

The Frenchman is not the only player Spurs want out as they are also hoping to sell Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon, Davinson Sanchez and Giovani Lo Celso before the transfer deadline on Friday, while Hugo Lloris could also leave.

They have started life under Postecoglou on an impressive note, winning two and drawing one of their opening three Premier League games, with four senior players added to the squad so far this summer.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham want to sign a number 9 having lost Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, but Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson is on their radar, and adding the Wales international to their attack will be a much-needed boost.
