Report claims £10m Tottenham man could leave to join Premier League club this summer

Five issues Ange Postecoglou must fix at Tottenham

Everton could be set to challenge Inter Milan for the signing of Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga this summer.

According to a report from Inter Live, Everton have more chance than Inter of signing the 24-year-old Tottenham centre-back because he is more likely to remain in England.

Tanganga has seen himself fall behind Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in the central defensive pecking order under Ange Postecoglou.

Even in his second position – right-back – he has found himself pretty much surplus to requirements with Emerson Royal and Pedro Porro at the club.

And his time in north London could be set to come to an end…

Everton could sign Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga

Inter Live reckon that the Toffees are battling it out with Inter to sign the 24-year-old this summer.

The Express recently claimed that Tanganga could be sold for around £10 million this summer.

The Spurs defender would be a strong addition for Everton. He is a very good tackler, has plenty of pace and power and his versatility would be crucial for Sean Dyche over what is always such a long and physically punishing Premier League campaign.

It’s clear to see that the 24-year-old does not have any kind of future at Spurs, and he seems to have regressed recently due to a lack of regular football.

So a move to a club like Everton may well be exactly what Tanganga needs in order to reinvigorate his career.
