Report claims £26 million potential Harry Kane replacement is ‘irritated’ with Tottenham

Tottenham target Mehdi Taremi is said to be frustrated at the lack of offers for his signature so far this summer.

According to Correio da Manha (print edition August 13th, page 7), the 31-year-old Porto striker is ‘irritated’ that Tottenham and other clubs have not come in with an official bid for him yet.

Porto value Taremi at around €30 million (£26 million), and with Harry Kane having left to join Bayern Munich, Ange Postecoglou is definitely on the look out for a new centre-forward.

The Porto hitman is certainly an option for Spurs but as things stand, there has been no movement on that front as far as the North London outfit are concerned…

CDM are claiming that no club have actually come in with an offer for the 68-capped Iran international yet, and that is irritating the striker who wants out of Porto.

Whether Spurs go in for Taremi remains to be seen, but £26 million does sound like an awful lot of money for a 31-year-old.

Having said that, the Iranian possesses a really impressive goal record. He has bagged 80 goals in 148 appearances for Porto and 179 in 343 career games.

The Porto forward is incredibly strong and is a lethal finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity. He has proven that throughout his career.

However, the general consensus is that Tottenhams should be setting their sights a lot higher than Mehdi Taremi this summer.
