Report: Liverpool now want to sign ‘sensational’ 23-year-old Premier League midfielder

Five issues Jurgen Klopp must tackle at Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly now keen to sign Boubacar Kamara from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.

According to a report from French publication Foot Mercato, Villa midfielder Kamara is on the radar of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp this summer.

Klopp has tried and failed to sign a top-class defensive midfielder over the past week. The Reds manager has been beaten to both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia by Chelsea.

Liverpool have strengthened their ranks by signing Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister. However, Klopp needs to bring at least one elite defensive midfielder to Anfield, if his team are to challenge for the Premier League title again this season…

Liverpool now want to sign ‘sensational’ Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara

Foot Mercato reckon that the Merseyside giants have now turned their attention to the Villa midfielder, after receiving several knock-backs in the transfer market this summer.

Milan Reports once described the Frenchman as a ‘sensational’ young player. And on his day, he is certainly one of the best DM’s around. He is a tenacious tackler and has a really aggressive approach to the game.

The Frenchman has energy and stamina in abundance whilst being a really proficient passer of the football as well. The 23-year-old hasn’t actually shown his best stuff for Aston Villa yet. However, his incredible talent and sky high potential is undeniable.

Boubacar Kamara would be a very solid addition for Liverpool, and he would undoubtedly flourish at Anfield when surrounded by so many top-class footballers.

Quite how much Villa will demand for the former Marseille man remains to be seen though.
