Report: Tottenham want rapid striker who scored fastest ever UEFA hat-trick in just 205 secs

Harry Kane to reject new Tottenham contract amid Bayern interest

Tottenham are looking into a move to sign Gent forward Gift Orban this summer.

According to the Athletic, the lightning quick 21-year-old forward is on the radar of Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

With Harry Kane set to join Bayern Munich imminently, it will be vital for Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou to bring in a replacement for the 30-year-old.

Signing a like-for-lie replacement for Kane will be nigh on impossible for Tottenham. In truth there just aren’t any strikers out there who are as good as him and actually available…certainly not for a reasonable fee.

So Ange needs to think outside the box and go down a completely different route. It seems like that’s exactly what he intends to do…

Tottenham want to sign rapid striker Gift Orban

The Athletic reckon that Gent forward Orban is a target for Spurs this summer. He is a completely different player to Kane, so Ange signing him would be evidence that he plans to change the playing style from his predecessors.

Gift Orban would certainly provide Tottenham with a completely different threat through the middle. He possesses absolutely blistering pace and has a knack of finding space by running in behind the opposition’s defence.

The 21-year-old scored the fastest ever hat-trick in UEFA club competition history, when he bagged three goals for Gent in just 205 seconds against Basaksehir in the Europa Conference League last season.

The Nigerian Sun reckon he’s available for around £17 million this summer. That fee would represent very good value as far as I’m concerned.

Orban has already bagged five goals in three games for Gent this season and last term he racked up 20 goals in 22 outings. He really is a very talented young player and would be a great addition to Ange’s ranks at Tottenham this summer.
