Harry Kane reacts after Manchester United and Bayern Munich are drawn in same Champions League group

Harry Kane to reject new Tottenham contract amid Bayern interest

Manchester United will be facing Bayern Munich this season, and England international striker Harry Kane and the Bundesliga club have reacted to the Champions League group draws on Instagram.

Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray and Danish Superliga side FC Copenhagen are the two other clubs in Group A with the Red Devils, and an exciting round of fixtures can be expected.

Man United are returning to the elite European competition after missing out last term, and manager Erik ten Hag will be hoping his side make it out of the group stages without plenty of difficulties.

The likes of Kane and Bayern will be standing in their way as the Red Devils aim top spot in the group, and the Englishman has said he ‘can’t wait for this’ while reacting to the draws.

Ten Hag wanted the hitman at Old Trafford, but Tottenham Hotspur were not going to do business with any Premier League club, preferring to sell him to Bayern instead.

Keeping Kane quiet in both legs against the Germans will be crucial if Man United are to finish top of Group A and boost their chances of getting a favourable draw in the round of 16.

They signed Rasmus Hojlund after missing out on the former Spurs striker, and the Denmark international will be reuniting with his old club in the competition.

Copenhagen also ‘can’t wait’ to face Man United and their academy graduate, and they joked that it should be an ‘easy win’ for them as it is going to be ‘two Hojlunds against one Hojlund’.

Rasmus’ twin younger brothers, Emil and Oscar, both play for Copenhagen and will be looking forward to getting the better of their older brother and his club.

The group stages begin on September 19/20 and end on December 12/13, and Man United will have to be on top of their game if they want to be playing in the competition after Christmas.
