Jurrien Timber sends message to Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has sent a brilliant message to Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch after he scored against Toulouse on Thursday night.

The 21-year-old scored the fourth goal of the match as Liverpool won 5-1 against Toulouse in the Europa League clash at Anfield.

Gravenberch scored his second goal for the Reds in this competition, and Jurgen Klopp hailed his performance as “incredible”.

The Dutch midfielder who joined in the summer from Bayern Munich took to Instagram, and posted – “Brilliant European night under the lights.”

Several Liverpool players have commented on his post and shared their love and admiration for him. Arsenal defender Timber, who is currently out injured, also dropped a message, saying – “My Guy.”

Gradual progress at Liverpool

Gravenberch has shown flashes of brilliance so far, but the potential is enormous. Klopp has got a wealth of midfield options at his disposal and he is not ready to throw him into the starting line-up on a weakly basis.

He would rather help him integrate into the side so that the Dutch midfielder can play to his fullest potential when the time is right. This has been a hallmark of Klopp’s training method.

However, the latest performance should thrill the German manager, and it will be interesting to see if Gravenberch gets more game time in the Premier League, even from the bench.

Liverpool were ruthless against Toulouse and they should aim to win this competition this time around. While it’s easier said than done, Liverpool do have enough strength and quality to win this trophy, which will give them direct access to the Champions League next season.

The Reds have made a strong start to their new campaign and are expected to mount a serious challenge for the title.
