Ange Postecoglou shares Tottenham injury update v Wolves

Five issues Ange Postecoglou must fix at Tottenham

Tottenham will travel to Molineaux to face Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday (11 November) where Ange Postecoglou will be without several key players.

The Spurs boss has confirmed today that both Micky van de Ven and James Maddison will not only miss this game but they are expected to be out for the rest of the year at least.

Richarlison needed to undergo surgery and he will be out for a month as well.

However, Postecoglou has suggested that Ben Davies is available and so is Pedro Porro. Journalist Martin Lipton said on Off The Ball podcast that Porro didn’t train for Spurs a few days ago.

Losing the 24-year-old defender amid the injury crisis would have been a massive blow, but Postecoglou has confirmed that Porro is “fine” and he has trained.

“They’re the main ones, obviously we have a couple of suspensions as well. Davies is back and available. Porro’s fine. He’s trained,” said Postecoglou, as quoted by Football London.

Big blow for Spurs

Tottenham have made a great start to the season, but the real challenge begins now. The 4-1 defeat against Chelsea was the first time they lost in the Premier League this season, and as a result, they have dropped to second in the league behind Manchester City.

It will be interesting to see how Spurs will cope without two key players until January. Van de Ven has been outstanding for Spurs since joining in the summer and the same can be said about Maddison as well.

With Christian Romero suspended for the next three games, Spurs are really short of options at the back. It’s good to hear that Porro has trained and Postecoglou is likely to pick him for the game on Saturday.
