Everton lost 3-0 against Manchester United in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon (26 November).
Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas has shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) where Everton fans were seen in full voice protesting the decision to deduct of point deduction.
He has described Goodison Park as – a “cauldron of emotion” and says it was a “sensational” display of fan unity.
“Goodison is a cauldron of emotion. Whoever you support and whatever you think of the merit of Everton fans’ protests, this is a sensational display of fan unity. The atmosphere is incredible. It is a privilege to be here,” wrote Thomas.

It’s been an uncompassionate week for Everton as they dropped to the relegation zone following a 10-point deduction for a breach of Premier League’s financial rules.
The aim of bringing a bit of hope for their fans was slashed as Manchester United ran rampant to establish a comfortable win at Goodison Park.
Alejandro Garnacho scored a spectacular overhead kick to give United the lead in the third minute. The strike was a worthy goal-of-the-season contender, drawing comparisons with Wayne Rooney’s famous strike for United against Manchester City in 2011.
Marcus Rashford scored his second goal of the season with a penalty in the 56th minute to double United’s lead while Anthony Martial added a third in the latter stages after being put through on goal by Bruno Fernandes.
The Toffees created a couple of decent chances and launched an onslaught at the latter stages of the game but were kept out by another impressive goalkeeping display from Andre Onana.
The win over Everton was United’s fifth in six matches. The victory has also propelled United to sixth place, only six points behind first-placed Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Everton are 19th in the league with just four points having been deducted 10 points.
