Paul Robinson reacts as Wolves beat Tottenham

Tottenham suffered a frustrating 2-1 defeat against Wolves in the Premier League at Molineaux on Saturday (11 November).

Paul Robinson shared his instant reaction on BBC Radio 5 Live as replayed by BBC Sports, and the popular pundit appears to be stunned by the manner in which Wolves came from behind to seal all three points.

He said – “wow”, before adding that it was probably not a deserved win for Wolves.

“Wow. What a finish to this game. We waited all afternoon for this game to ignite. In all honesty it was a poor second half, but Wolves found a gap,” said Robinson.

“Molineux springs to life. It is probably not a deserved win for Wolves but who says you have to play well for 90 minutes to win?”

Tottenham poor

Spurs took an early lead in the first half through Brennan Johnson and it felt like they would control the game from here on.

They were heading into this game on the back of a 4-1 defeat against Chelsea and needed a strong reaction. It was a perfect start for them.

However, with James Maddison remaining absent, the north London club struggled to create enough clear-cut chances and allowed Wolves to come back into the game.

As the match progressed, Wolves grew in confidence. Spurs offered absolutely nothing in the second half, and Ange Postecoglou will be very disappointed with how his side performed after the break.

In the end, it appeared like Spurs would still manage to squeeze out a victory, but Wolves had other plans.

Two goals in stoppage time from Pablo Sarabia and Mario Lemina sealed all three points for the home side. Sarabia scored with a sublime acrobatic finish, while Lemina scored in the seventh minute of extra time.

With this result, Spurs now have lost back to back games in the Premier League for the first time this season.
