Newcastle are back to winning ways after they earned a 3-0 victory against Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday (16 December) at St James’ Park.
Lewis Miley became the youngster ever player since James Milner to score his first Premier League goal for Newcastle after he found the net from close range in the second half.
Alan Shearer took to X to share his reaction instantly. He wrote: “Ah man what a feeling for Lewis Miley.”

Fulham went down to ten men in the first after Raul Jimenez was shown a red card for a reckless challenge on Sean Longstaff.
It was a frustrating half for the Magpies who lost two key players Fabian Schar and Joelinton through injuries. Miley came on as a substitute and he made his mark with a goal, something he will remember for the rest of his life.
Massive win
Newcastle headed into this game on the back of three consecutive defeats. They bowed out of the Champions League after suffering a 2-1 loss against AC Milan.
The Magpies needed a strong comeback, and Eddie Howe will be really pleased with the result. In the first half, they struggled to create enough clear-cut chances, but they bounced back strongly in the second half.
Goals from Miley, Miguel Almiron, and Dan Burn earned all three points for the Magpies. It was a special afternoon at St James’ Park with two local boys scoring for the club.
Howe will hope that the injuries to Schar and Joelinton are not serious. However, the fans were delighted to see Sven Botman returning to action after he came from the bench after a long absence.
They have now picked up seven wins in a row at home in the Premier League, and the Magpies are expected to get better when other key players will return from injuries.
