Everton picked up their fourth Premier League win in a row after they defeated Burnley 2-0 on Saturday (16 December) at Turf Moor.
With that victory, the Toffees have moved into 16th place in the table, and they would have been above West Ham if the ten-point deduction didn’t happen.
Ashley Young took to X after the game to share his instant reaction. The Toffees defender picked up an injury and missed the game as a result.

Goals from Andre Onana and Michael Keane in the first half gave Everton a healthy 2-0 lead at the break. The home side created some good chances in the second half, but Everton stayed resolute at the back and ensured the scoreline remained intact.
Brilliant
The Toffees have been outstanding since the deduction took place as if they have made it a mission to fight tooth and nail and prove a point. It also shows how far they have come under Sean Dyche who has been doing a tremendous job at Goodison Park.
Everton have now picked up six wins and a draw from their last eight games in the league, and Dyche will be really proud of this effort from his players.
They have not only picked up wins at home but have also managed to get results away from Goodison Park. Against Burnley, they showed quality from set-pieces, and Vincent Kompany’s side were bullied every time they tried to defend a set-piece.
Onana scored a brilliant header while Keane finished off a good move after the initial shot was saved. Jordan Pickford made some good saves in the second half, but Everton managed to control the game.
Sander Berge rattled the crossbar but the Clarets remained 19th the league table with just eight points on board.
