Everton produced yet another strong performance away from home as they earned a 2-0 win against Burnley in the Premier League at Turf Moor on Saturday (16 December).
Amadou Onan leaped above the Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford to score the opening goal. Moments later, Michael Keane added another after his initial shot was saved by Trafford and Dara O’Shea failed to clear the rebound.
Former Toffees player turned football pundit, Don Hutchison, reacted to Keane’s goal, saying – “What a club”.

Everton have now jumped to 16th in the Premier League table, and they would have been challenging for a place in Europe if the ten-point deduction had not taken place.
The Toffees have now won four games on the trot, and five in their last six games in the Premier League.
Revised target
When the punishment was meted out, Everton’s first priority was to get out of the drop zone, which they did in some style.
Given the kind of form they are in, it is high time for the Toffees to set up a new target. Everton should aim to finish in the top half of the table this season, and if they manage to do that, it will be a terrific achievement for the club.
Sean Dyche has worked wonders in such a short time. The team is bubbling with confidence at the moment.
In the previous seasons, Everton struggled to pick up wins away from home. Under Frank Lampard, they struggled heavily outside Goodison Park. However, Dyche has brought in a change in mentality at the club where the Toffees have found ways to score goals on their roads as well.
The next two Premier League games are really crucial for the club, and in the context of the league as well. If Everton can earn points against the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City, it can have a big impact in the top four and the title race respectively.
