James Garner has praised Everton teammate Dwight McNeil who scored the winner for the Toffees against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Toffees have improved immensely under Sean Dyche and they are performing admirably well away from home this season.
Even though Everton were docked 10 points after breaching the Financial Fair Play rules, the players are refusing to give up. There are plenty of games left to be played and it looks like the Toffees are confident they can avoid the drop.
Speaking to Everton Tv, Garner says that McNeil has not only scored a “top goal”, but reveals that he scores every day in training ground.
“We created a few chances in the first half, and we knew we could get that opener. Dwight scored a top goal, which he scores every day in training, so I’m pleased for him and pleased for the team,” said Garner.
Dyche doing a fantastic job
Everton should have been 11th in the Premier League at the moment ahead of Crystal Palace had they not been punished. It goes to show how far they have improved under Dyche.
One player who has made a big difference in the side is Garner. The midfielder joined from Manchester United last summer, and failed to make a big impact under Frank Lampard.
However, he has been in terrific form this season. Only Jordan Pickford, James Tarkowski, and Abdoulaye Doucoure have played more minutes than Garner this season, and he has firmly established himself as a key member of the side.
The Toffees find themselves 18th in the league table at the moment, but if they keep on winning games, they are highly likely to climb up the table in a few months.
