Jude Bellingham sends message to Everton striker Lewis Dobbin

Lewis Dobbin scored his first Premier League goal as Everton secured a brilliant win against Chelsea on Sunday (11 December) afternoon.

The Toffees have now picked three wins in a row, something they have managed to do for the first time since 2021. After a 0-0 first half, Abdoulaye Doucoure opened the scoring for the Toffees in the 54th minute.

Dobbin then killed the game deep into extra time with a fantastic finish. The 20-year-old took to Instagram after the game, where he wrote: “Dreams Really Do Come True.”

A lot of Everton players have sent him messages, but Dobbin will be delighted to see England and Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham drop a brilliant message for him as well.

Bellingham wrote: “Congrats bro.”

Terrific performance

With this win, Everton have taken a healthy four-point lead from 17th-placed Luton Town who lost 2-1 against Manchester City.

Everton have now managed five wins and a draw in their last seven Premier League games, and one cannot help but admire the job Sean Dyche has been doing at the club.

The Toffees would have been in the top half of the table by now if they were not docked 10 points.

Doucoure has now scored for the second game in a row, but Dyche will be pleased with the overall display. The likes of Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin came close to scoring during the game, while the likes of James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite have been brilliant.

Dobbin, the homegrown lad, is a highly-rated young forward. He spent the last season on loan at Derby County where he managed five goals in 54 games in all competitions. This goal will give him loads of confidence and Dyche will hope that he can score a few more goals this season.
