Mesut Ozil appeared to have mocked Tottenham Hotspur following their dismal run of form in the Premier League.
Spurs were leading the Premier League table only a few weeks back, but they have now dropped out of the top four, after four losses in their last five games.
What has been really frustrating for the Spurs fans is that in all these games, Spurs have taken the lead, and yet they ended up on the losing side.
Opta Joe shared a stat on X that Tottenham have become the first side in Premier League history to fail to win five consecutive games despite going 1-0 up in each match. They have lost three consecutive home games despite going up 1-0 in each match.
Ozil has reacted to the tweet, and labeled Spurs as “Bottle job FC”.
“Who else should be able to break that record? Bottle Job FC is back,” wrote Ozil.
Who else should be able to break that record? 😬 Bottle Job FC is back 🫡 https://t.co/AX6q18lUHm

Contrast
Ozil obviously will be very happy to find that the Gunners are leading the Premier League table at the moment. Mikel Arteta was severely criticised when he was rebuilding the team, but the club stuck with him and gave him time to implement his methods.
Arsenal are reaping the benefits. They challenged for the title last season, and are looking on course to mount a serious challenge for the title this time as well.
In contrast, Spurs are struggling a bit at the moment, but a few wins on the trot could put them back in the picture for the top-four race.
Tottenham must support Postecoglou thick and thin and allow him to implement a system at the club. They are playing an attractive brand of football, but need to find a way to win games.
