Tottenham Hotspur are set to accelerate efforts to sign a new centre-back, as they prepare to make an offer for Genoa’s Radu Dragusin ‘in the next few hours’, according to a report from Calciomercato.
The Romania International has continued to impress this season, making 20 appearances in all competitions for I Rossoblù and also emerging as a target for various clubs around Europe as Genoa continue to fight to keep him.
Following Christian Romero’s injury, Spurs are making concrete efforts to sign the 21-year-old and Calciomercato reports that contacts for an offer will be initiated ‘in the next few hours’.
Genoa value the Romanian not less than £26m and reports reveal that Tottenham are set to invest a less astronomical but significant offer to bring him to North London amid Interest from AS Roma, Atalanta, Inter Milan, and Napoli.
After spending the previous season on loan with Genoa in the Italian Serie B, Dragusin joined Alberto Gilardino’s side on a permanent deal from Juventus for €5m and is contracted at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris until 2027.
