Aston Villa have now made an improved bid to sign Middlesbrough winger Morgan Rogers this month.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, “negotiations ongoing” with Boro, as Villa are looking to close the deal in the next few days.
Villa have had two bids rejected for their “main target”. This is their third bid for the 21-year-old winger.
According to a report from The Athletic, the new bid is worth in the region of £15million, including add-ons.
While Boro are not reluctant to let go of their prized asset, he is someone Villa want desperately, and it seems they are ready to pay a handsome fee for his signature.
He has emerged as their “primary target”, and despite two bids rejected for the player, they haven’t given up the chase to sign him.
David Ornstein says that Villa are hopeful the new bid will be accepted and the deal could be struck as early as this week.

Clear favourites
According to a report from the Sunday People, West Ham have shown interest in Rogers and they did make a move for him as well. However, Boro have rejected their bid.
This has paved the way for Rodgers to move to Villa Park and there is an expectation that Boro will now accept the offer for the young attacker.
The player himself is excited by the opportunity to join Villa who are fourth in the Premier League at the moment. He has made 33 appearances across all competitions for Michael Carrick’s side this campaign and has heavily impressed.
