Tottenham could miss out on signing Genoa defender Radu Dragusin after Bayern Munich have made an offer to sign him, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Spurs made an offer on Tuesday where they agreed terms of €25m + €5m add-ons fee and a contract for the player until 2029. All the documents were exchanged but the transfer was not sealed as Genoa waited for Bayern to make a move.
The German giants have now offered a fee in the region of £26m (transfer fee of €23m and bonus payment of €7.5m) and they are “very confident” to hijack the deal.
Plettenberg says that the player will need to make a decision today whether he will join Tottenham or Bayern.

Big day for Spurs
Tottenham have already confirmed the signing of Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig for the rest of the season, and they are now looking to make their second signing of January.
Spurs badly need a central defender and they have been tracking Dragusin for a while now. The Romanian central defender has proved his quality in the Serie A, and he would have been a stellar addition for the north London club.
However, with Bayern joining the race now, Spurs need to move quickly to sign him. It will be interesting to see if they come up with a better offer to lure him away. In that case, it can result in a bidding war for the player.
Spurs have been linked with a host of other defenders as well and they may have to look for other options if Dragusin decides to join Bayern.
