Celtic reach agreement to sign Nicolas Kuhn

Celtic have reached total agreement to sign Rapid Wien winger, Nicolas Kuhn, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg

The Daily Record claimed that Brendan Rodgers is confident that they can seal the deal this week. Now the Sky Germany reporter claims that it’s “deal done”.

Plettenberg says that a total agreement has been reached. The player has flown to London and will complete his medical on Monday.

He will sign a contract at the club until 2028. Celtic will pay a fee of around €3.5m, plus add-ons.

He will become the first signing for the Bhoys in the January transfer window, but Celtic are expected to sign more players before the end of the month.

More additions

Kuhn is a highly-rated winger and would be a quality signing for the Hoops. Celtic are looking to win the Scottish Premiership once again after a poor European campaign.

They will look to bolster their squad so that they maintain their lead at the top. At the moment, the Hoops are eight points ahead of Rangers although the Gers have played two games less.

The Daily Record claims that Rodgers is targeting a left-back and a striker. The Hoops are also looking to sign a new winger in January, and they have been linked with a move for Joe Gelhardt.

Swedish defender Gustaf Lagerbielke could leave Parkhead before the end of this month, and there could be more departures as well. It has been reported that several clubs are keen to sign him, and Celtic could allow him to depart if they get the right offer.
