Leeds United among clubs want Kieffer Moore in January

Leeds United are amongst clubs who could be in the race to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore in the January window, according to a report from The Sun

The Whites find themselves in a spot of bother at the moment after suffering three defeats in their last six games. As a result, they are now seven points off the automatic promotion spots, but the Whites are still one of the strong favourites for the play-off spot.

Adding a new striker could really help them, and they will likely be aware of Moore’s situation. The likes of Cardiff City, Ipswich, West Brom, Birmingham and Sunderland are interested in Moore but his wages of around £40,000 a week means, a loan move is most likely.

The 31-year-old striker has only started one game this season and he is expected to leave in January.

Should Leeds try to sign Moore on loan?

The Welsh international has struggled for regular time this season and he would welcome a move in January. He has got loads of Championship experience, and Leeds should look to sign him on loan this month.

Moore enjoyed huge success with Cardiff where he scored 20 goals in the 2020-21 season. Last season, he scored four goals in the Premier League and can be a valuable addition to the side. He has dropped down the pecking order behind Dominic Sonalke who has already netted 12 times in the Premier League this season.

Leeds are aiming to return to the Premier League swiftly but they need more consistency to secure the second spot. It will be interesting to see if Daniel Farke allows Crysencio Summerville to leave the club in January.

Summerville has 18 goal contributions from 24 league games so far, and he is drawing attention from Newcastle. If the Magpies come up with a good offer, it could become difficult for the Whites to reject it outright.
