Leeds United keen to sign Daiki Hashioka

Leeds United are finally looking to add a new full-back to their ranks and they are “pushing” for a move for Daiki Hashioka, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri

The Whites are close to securing a deal from Belgian side Sint-Truiden for the Japan International as Daniel Farke has finally addressed the need to sign a right-back.

Leeds lost the services of Luke Ayling and Djed Spence this month and they are yet to replace them. With only a few days remaining in the transfer window, the Whites are finally looking to bring in some new faces.

Tavolieri says that the seven-time Japan star is keen to move to Elland Road, and Leeds are looking to reach an agreement. The 24-year-old has impressed for the Belgian side, but it appears that a move to Leeds could be on the cards.

Late signings

Leeds suffered a blow recently after Archie Gray picked up an injury in the recent League win over Norwich. Jamie Shackleton played on the right in the 1-1 draw against Plymouth, but he is hardly a long-term solution for Farke.

Throughout this month, Leeds have been linked with a host of full-backs including Neco Williams, Connor Roberts and Calvin Ramsay, but it appears they have finally found the right candidate for this role.

He has made 91 appearances for Sint-Truiden, where he scored two goals and provided 14 assists. Belgian side Genk also showed interest in him but he chose Leeds instead.

The Whites are also linked with a move for Ben Godfrey and Nat Phillips this month, and it will be interesting to see if they can get either of them.
