Leeds United are looking to sign a new right-back in the January transfer window and they are checking on several options.
The Whites sent Luke Ayling on loan to Middlesbrough this month. Ayling is a long-serving defender who has a contract at Elland Road until the end of the season. He has already said farewell to the fans.
Djede Spence also returned to Tottenham who used him in a deal to sign Radu Dragusin. Leeds are looking to add a few defenders to their ranks, especially in full-back areas, and they have been linked with a move for Burnley defender Manuel Benson.
According to journalist, Sacha Tavolieri, the Whites “keep pushing” for the 26-year-old defender who has barely played for Burnley this season. They have held a “new round of talks” with the Belgium versatile player, and a move to Elland Road cannot be possibly ruled out.

More signings
Daniel Farke is looking at the loan market to sign a few players before the end of the window. Leeds are in the mix for promotion to the Premier League, and a few quality signings will really help them achieve their target.
Benson, who was so impressive last season, has only managed one start in the Premier League. The Clarets will be open to let him go, and it remains to be seen if Leeds can secure a deal for him.
He is on £25k-per-week wages at Turf Moor, and Leeds should be able to meet his salary. Apart from Benson, Leeds are also keeping tabs on Liverpool centre-back Nathaniel Phillips and full-back Calvin Ramsay.
The next few days could be really interesting for Leeds.
