Newcastle United are among clubs showing keen interest in signing Arsenal youngster Amario Cozier-Duberry.
According to a report from Evening Standard, a host of clubs including Ajax and Borussia Dortmund are also keen to sign the 18-year-old attacking player.
He is a highly talented youngster and Jack Wilshere hailed him as “unplayable”, even comparing him to Bukayo Saka who is a key player for the senior team.
The youngster has impressed at the youth levels at the club and has been tipped for a big future.
Newcastle could be looking to make a few additions towards the end of the window, and they are tracking the youngster closely.
The Magpies have done well to keep their key players at the club this month, but will they sign a few players before the transfer deadline is a big question.
Unlikely
Cozier-Duberry is into the final six months of his contract at Arsenal, and the Gunners are looking to tie him up on a new deal.
While he is yet to sign a new contract, it looks unlikely that the Magpies will make an offer now and get him on board in the final few days of the transfer window.
It has been a really quiet window for the Gunners. They were expected to sign a new striker this month, but it didn’t happen.
Likewise, the Magpies have had a frustrating window. Eddie Howe badly needed to add a few players, especially in midfield. They were heavily linked with a move for Kalvin Phillips, but they eventually backed out of the race.
Cozier-Duberry will become a free agent next summer, and he will not have any shortage of suitors. Newcastle could take a gamble here and get him on a bargain deal, although the Gunners probably won’t be willing to let him go to a rival club.
