Rangers are considering making a move to bring Vitesse winger Million Manhoef to Ibrox in the January window, according to a report from Teamtalk.
The Gers are looking to add more quality in their attacking midfield areas and they have earmarked the 22-year-old winger who has been one of their best players.
The Bears could face competition from the likes of Leicester City. TeamTalk claims that both clubs are “strongly considering a move” for the winger who is likely to leave the club in the winter transfer window.
The Gers have made contact about a potential move already. While Vitesse do not want to sell Manhoef, he is one of the prized assets. They are in the middle of a financial crisis and they could be forced to part ways with him as a result.
Rangers making smart moves
The report has suggested that a bid of around £3m could be enough to secure Manhoef’s signature. The price quoted above should be within Rangers’ range and they must move for him quickly.
The exciting winger can become one of the best “bargains” of the window. He has the ability to play at the top level and could be a fantastic addition to Philippe Clement’s side.
He has made 84 senior appearances to date, scoring 16 goals and making 14 assists. Manhoef has loads of options to choose from as he has managed to grab the attention of some of the top clubs across Europe.
Rangers have already secured the signing of Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves and they will be looking to add more players before the end of the window. Clement has made a big impact at the club already and the Bears are closing the gap with Celtic rapidly, despite the fact they lost the recent Old Firm derby.
Considering his age, talent, and price tag, getting him to Ibrox should be a no-brainer.
