Tottenham Hotspur are not looking to sign Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, according to Ben Jacobs.
The reliable journalist claims that Spurs have “natural respect” for the 26-year-old but he is not the player the club is currently interested in.
According to a recent report from The Sun, Spurs are considering a late move to sign the former Liverpool striker who has been in great form this season.
Spurs have already bolstered their forward department this month by signing Timo Werner on loan from Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig. The north London giants have the option to sign the player on a permanent deal.
However, it appeared that Ange Postecoglou still wants to add another striker to the ranks. Jacobs, however, adds that Solanke is not an option for Spurs.
“There is no truth in Spurs links with Dominic Solanke. There is natural respect for Solanke and his form, but he is not a player the club are currently interested in,” wrote Jacobs on X.

Solanke has been in red-hot form this season, netting 14 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions this season.
Newcastle have also shown interest in signing the striker, but it was rebuffed by the Cherries.
The Sun claimed it would require a monumental bid from Tottenham, potentially exceeding £50m to sign Solanke and that the north London club are prepared to pursue a deal of this magnitude before the transfer window closes in the next 24 hours.
Spurs have also signed Radu Dragusin from Genoa. It will be interesting to see if they manage to land one more player before tomorrow’s deadline but chances are high that they won’t make a move for Solanke.
Could they move for him in the summer transfer window? They do admire the player but it seems Solanke is not on their priority list.
