Tottenham reach agreement for Radu Dragusin

Tottenham face pressure to finalise Dragusin transfer as Milan and Bayern enter race

Tottenham have reached an agreement to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa, according to Sky Sports journalist, Florian Plettenberg

Spurs have been looking to sign the young defender for a while now, and it seems they have managed to broker a deal for him.

Plettenberg says that Spurs have reached a “full agreement” with Genoa, where the north London club will pay a fee in the region of £21.4m.

Dragusin will sign a contract at Spurs until 2029. German giants Bayern Munich are also keen to sign Dragusin and they will have to come up with a better offer by today if they really want to sign him.

As of now, Bayern have not submitted an offer to sign the 21-year-old defender.

Terrific addition

Spurs were desperate to sign a new centre-back in the January window and they will be happy to have reached an agreement for a top-quality defender whose best years are ahead of him.

He has been outstanding for Genoa this season, and Spurs will hope that he will adapt quickly at his new club, and continue his impressive form.

Luckily for Spurs, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are back, and Ange Postecoglou will have a strong defensive set-up with Dragusin in the side. His potential arrival could pave the way for Eric Dier’s departure.

Fabrizio Romano has added that Djed Spence will leave on loan to Genoa as a part of the deal.

The situation, however, could change if Bayern change their strategy and make a late attempt to sign him. But as it stands, it looks like the Romanian will soon be moving to north London in the coming days.
