Tottenham ready to accept loan move for Ivan Perisic

Tottenham confirm Ivan Perisic to miss the rest of the season with ACL injury

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to allow Ivan Perisic to go out on loan for the rest of the season, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano

The 34-year-old winger wants to join his former club Hajduk Split on loan, and talks are advancing well. Romano says that the deal is “now at the final stages”.

The former Inter Milan winger is keen to make history with the club, and Spurs are happy to let him go.

“Ivan Perisić comeback to Hajduk Split is advancing well, now at the final stages! Perisić is keen on returning to make history at the club. Understand Tottenham are prepared to accept loan move until the end of the season,” wrote Romano on X.

The 129-times capped Croatia international was an influential player for Tottenham last season. He made 44 appearances in all competitions. This season, his participation has been hampered by injuries.

Makes sense

While the nature of the loan deal is not clear, it will allow Spurs to get rid of Perisic’s £180k-per-week wages.

Tottenham have been very active this month, having signed Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig and Radu Dragusin from Genoa on a permanent deal.

Spurs have also allowed the likes of Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon, Alfie Devine, and Japhet Tanganga to leave on loan for the rest of the season.

If Perisic leaves, Spurs could look to bring in one or two more players before the end of the window. Their midfield will be bolstered by the return of James Maddison after a long injury lay-off, but another short-term deal for a quality attacking midfielder won’t do any harm.

Perisic has enjoyed a decorated career, having played for clubs like Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich (on loan). He is approaching the fag end of his career, and a return to his homeland could be an ideal move to put an end to a glittering career.
