Tottenham are ready to cash in on Spanish full-back Sergio Reguilon amid interest from Premier League rivals Brentford.
According to a report from Evening Standard, Brentford are weighing up a move for the 27-year-old defender on loan for the rest of the season.
Reguilon has a contract at the north London club until 2025. However, he is not in Ange Postecoglou’s first-team plans, and Spurs are looking to cash in on him.
The defender joined Spurs in a £32million deal from Real Madrid in 2020, but he is out of favour. He joined Manchester United on loan at the start of the season, but they have cut short his loan deal.
Brentford are prioritizing signing a new left-back, and they have earmarked Reguilon as a possible option. The left-back is free to leave Spurs this month, and it will be interesting to see if an agreement can be reached to offload him.

Reguilon has emerged as a viable option for Brentford. He moved to Old Trafford mainly as a cover for Luke Shaw but made just seven starts under Erik ten Hag. The loan deal was cut short and he returned to his parent club.
Brentford are lacking options after Thomas Frank lost Rico Henry to a serious knee injury. Aaron Hickey is also out after suffering a significant hamstring in November.
In such a scenario, a move for Reguilon makes a lot of sense. He is surplus to requirements at the club, and Postecoglou doesn’t rate him at all.
Destiny Udogie has become a key player under Postecoglou and he has nailed down the starting spot at left-back. Ben Davies is seen as a reliable deputy. With Ryan Sessegnon now back from injury, Spurs can afford to let Reguilon go to Brentford (or elsewhere) without hampering the depth of the squad.
