Adrian Durham has hailed Elland Road atmosphere as “fantastic” as Leeds United came from behind to secure all three points against Leicester City.
The talkSPORT football anchor says that the atmosphere generated inside Elland Road is one of the best in the country.
It was a thrilling high-voltage game and Leeds played some outstanding football in the final 15 minutes to secure a 3-1 win. Durham has hailed it as an “incredible” game, but he felt Leicester were very casual in their approach.
Leeds have been terrific in 2024 and they have won all their Championship games this year. They are now on a winning run of nine games on the trot, and the victory over the league leaders means they have been able to reduce the gap at the top to six points.
Durham has been left impressed by Patrick Bamford and felt that his “energy transformed Leeds”. He shared footage on X where he sat amongst the jubilant Leeds fans at Elland Road.
Sitting with Leeds fans last night at Elland Road. Fantastic atmosphere, one of the best in the country. The sarcastic chant of “Leeds are falling apart again” from the home fans cracked me up. Incredible game. Leicester way way too casual, Bamford’s energy transformed Leeds. pic.twitter.com/a6ISPwQYZg

Leeds United will need Patrick Bamford to deliver
Bamford returned to action after an injury lay-off and made a big impact. He played the final 26 minutes of the game and managed to get a goal to his name.
The England striker has struggled with injuries in the past few seasons and hasn’t played regularly under Daniel Farke as well. He has made only six starts in the league, but his quality is undeniable.
Farke praised Bamford for his performance last night, and he is glad to get him back. Leeds are riding high on momentum, and they will probably feel confident about securing promotion, although the battle is intense at the moment with Ipswich and Southampton looking to get into the top two as well.
