Aston Villa agree deal to sign West Brom midfielder Keilan Quinn

Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sign West Brom midfielder Keilan Quinn, according to journalist Jacob Tanswell

The Villans are expected to be busy in the closing stages of the transfer window, and they have now agreed a deal to sign the “highly rated” young talent from the Baggies.

According to the Athletic, Villa are paying a fee in the region of £1m for the young midfielder.

The 16-year-old will join Villa’s under-16 side, but Villa have high hopes for him. Quinn has impressed for the junior side at West Brom where he scored one goal and provided one assist in ten appearances for West Brom’s under-18 side this season.

“Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sign highly-rated 16-year-old midfielder Keilan Quinn from West Brom. Midfielder will join Villa’s academy, with the idea to enter into the scholarship phase next year. Fee around £1m,” wrote Tanswell on X.

More signings

Villa are expected to complete at least two signings before 11 pm deadline.

According to a report from Sky Sports, Morgan Rogers will complete his move from Middlesbrough for an initial fee of £8m. Villa have seen three bids rejected for the player but they still managed to get him on board.

Another player who is expected to join today is Joe Gauci. The Adelaide United goalkeeper has already completed his medical in Qatar, and he is expected to complete his move today.

Meanwhile, striker Jhon Duran, who was targeted by a host of clubs including Chelsea, is expected to stay at the club.

Villa have dropped to fifth in the Premier League table after losing 3-1 against Newcastle United in the last game.
