David Prutton predicts outcome of Huddersfield v Leeds United

Leeds United will be looking to make it ten league wins in a row when they face derby rivals Huddersfield away from home on Saturday.

The Whites have won all their Championship matches in 2024 and have closed the gap with Leicester City at the top to six points.

Huddersfield picked their third win in their last five games when they won 2-1 against Watford last week. They have moved to 19th in the table with 37 points, but Andre Breitenreiter’s side are not out of danger yet.

They are up against one of the most in-form teams in the country, and it will require a herculean effort to earn a point against the Whites, let alone beat them.

David Prutton has backed Leeds to make ten wins in a row and has predicted a 2-0 win on Saturday for Sky Sports.

What Prutton said about Huddersfield v Leeds United

“That was a fabulous win for Huddersfield Town and Andre Breitenreiter last weekend at Watford. To get off to a good start in this league as a new manager is so important, and it stopped them sliding into the bottom three as well,” said Prutton.

“This is a tough proposition, though. Leeds just do not look like they can drop points right now. Even fate was on their side it seemed against Leicester last week. Can they make it 10 wins in a row? It’s hard to back against.”

Leeds United are unstoppable at the moment

Leeds are heading into this match on the back of a 3-2 defeat against Chelsea, but Daniel Farke will be very proud of the effort of his players. It needed a late goal from Conor Gallagher to seal the tie, but the Whites matched them toe-to-toe for almost the entire game.

They are running high on confidence at the moment. The victory against the Foxes must have given them massive belief that they could further close the gap at the top.

Until the 79th minute, Leicester were leading by 1-0, but three quick goals in the end earned them all three points.

Georginio Rutter is likely to return to the side, while Crysencio Summerville and Patrick Bamford could return. However, Jamie Shackleton will miss out due to illness.
