Fabio Carvalho is enjoying his time at Hull City and Liverpool will be very pleased with his development.
The 21-year-old joined RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window on loan, but Liverpool decided to terminate the deal after he struggled to get regular games.
The highly exciting young forward, who joined the Reds from Fulham, went on loan to Hull City for the rest of the season. He is gradually getting his confidence back, and has now scored three goals in eight starts.
On Saturday, Carvalho produced a thunderbolt effort to open the scoring for Hull City against West Brom. While the match ended 1-1, Carvalho has received praise from Liverpool fans, and certainly from his Liverpool pals, including Harvey Elliott.
Carvalho took to Instagram to share his feelings after the game. He wrote: “Unlucky not to get the 3 points today… focus shifts on to the next. Thanks for the support.”
Elliott responded to his post by saying: “Proud of you.”
Liverpool will take keen interest in Carvalho’s development
Carvalho joined Liverpool on a long-term deal. He has a contract at Anfield until 2027.
Liverpool rate him highly and they are likely to give him one more chance to impress. Unfortunately, Carvalho will have to show his quality to a new manager, as Jurgen Klopp will leave the club at the end of the season.
The loan spell at Hull City is crucial to his development. If he enjoys a fantastic campaign (which he is doing at the moment), it will give him enormous belief that he can be a part of the Reds senior team next season.
This season, Klopp gave chances to many young talents, and one wonders if Liverpool could have kept him. However, Carvalho’s case is different. He is too good a player to be playing for the reserves, and another loan move was perfect for him.
