Crystal Palace returned to winning ways under their new manager Oliver Glasner as they won 3-0 against Burnley at Selhurst Park last Saturday.
The Eagles skipper Joel Ward has showered praise on Daniel Munoz saying the 27-year-old brings a lot to the team.
The Colombia international joined in the January transfer window from Genk and he has settled in nicely at his new club.
He has already made four starts in the Premier League, and Ward feels that the Colombian could become a fan favourite at Selhurst Park.
Ward, 34, has been left impressed by Munoz’s “enthusiasm, desire, and commitment”.
The senior defender was a part of the back three central pairing alongside Joachim Andersen and Chris Richards, who scored the opening goal. Tyrick Mitchell and Munoz played as left and right wing-backs respectively against the Clarets.
“It’s only been a couple of games but I’ve enjoyed it so far,” said Ward about his link-up play with Munoz, as quoted by London News Online.
“He offers a lot to the team, his enthusiasm, desire and commitment is second-to-none. He’s going to be a fans’ favourite going forward.”
Huge game coming up for Crystal Palace
The Eagles were going through a wretched run of form and eventually, it led to the sacking of Roy Hodgson.
Palace earned a 1-1 draw against Everton and now they have picked up a crucial win against Burnley who were terrible at Selhurst Park.
With this victory, they have jumped to 13th in the Premier League table, and all of a sudden it looks rosy for them. To be fair, the league table keeps on changing for mid-table sides, but Palace can build something special from here on.
The new Palace boss was heavily impressed with the performance of some of his players in the previous game, with youngster Matheus Franca grabbing his attention already.
Glasner has become only the second manager for Crystal Palace who have picked up a win in his first game in charge in the Premier League era. They face London rivals Tottenham away from home in the next game, and it should be a cracking contest.
If Palace can get a positive result, it would give them a massive lift.
