Tottenham Hotspur striker Alejo Veliz is heading to Seville to complete a loan move before Thursday’s deadline.
Spurs have done extremely well this month and have added players they wanted. Now, they are looking to offload a few players who need regular game time, and Veliz is heading out to Spain.
According to a report from The Athletic, Veliz is joining Seville on loan, with the Spanish club having no option or obligation to buy.
The north London club have signed Timo Werner on loan this month from RB Leipzig. They have the option to sign him permanently in the summer as well.
Veliz has made eight Premier League appearances for Spurs this season, scoring once, but he is unlikely to get enough minutes from now until the end of the season. Therefore a move away from the club makes a lot of sense.
Who else could leave?
Veliz is on £25k-per-week deal at Spurs, and he is an exciting young talent.
Sevilla are currently 16th in La Liga, one point above the relegation zone, and they need some extra quality to save themselves from getting relegated.
According to a report from 1908.nl, Feyenoord could make a last minute attempt to sign Bryan Gill before deadline. The 22-year-old has attracted interest from Lazio and Brighton, and his future remains up in the air.
He has failed to live up to his potential and Tottenham are looking to offload him. However, according to Sky Sports reporter, Michael Bridge, the player is happy to stay.
Tottenham are also shown keen interest in signing Lucas Bergvall who is also drawing attention from Barcelona. There is no obligation to secure the deal today and it can wait until the summer.
Spurs have also signed Radu Dragusin from Genoa this month on a permanent deal.
