Bayern are looking to add a defensive midfielder and targeted Joao Palhinha last summer. The Fulham midfielder even had a medical but the move collapsed in the end.
The 22-year-old midfielder has scored three goals in 22 appearances for the Toffees this season and recently played in the 2-2 draw against England at Wembley. His performances have caught the attention of heavyweight clubs like Bayern who are impressed with his progress.
Everton paid £33m to sign him from Lille, and they are expected to demand a fee of over £60m for the highly-rated midfielder.
The Toffees must now focus on picking up some wins and climbing up the table. They have not picked up a win in 2024, and desperately need points on board. Everton will face AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday (30 March) at the Vitality Stadium.
