The summer transfer window should be very interesting for Tottenham Hotspur.
Ange Postecoglou has done a terrific job so far and Spurs are battling with Aston Villa for a place in the top four. If Spurs secure a spot in the Champions League next season, they are definitely going to bolster their squad.
The forward department is one area that could undergo a few changes. While Spurs will have to decide on whether to sign Timo Werner permanently, they will also continue to look for versatile wingers who can play all three positions up front as also in deeper roles.
According to a journalist Alasdair Gold of Football London, Bryan Gil will leave the club in the summer. The 23-year-old has made just two starts in the Premier League this season, and he is simply not going to get the game time he needs.
Tottenham should allow Bryan Gil to leave
Gil has managed only 191 minutes of Premier League football this season and the Spaniard should consider leaving the club in the summer.
He joined in the summer of 2021 from Sevilla and has made 42 appearances for Spurs to date. In between, he has spent time at Valencia and Sevilla on loan, but he hasn’t been able to make an impact in Spain.
The versatile winger has a contract at the club until 2026, but his situation does not seem to improve. It seems like he has failed to impress Postecoglou and a move away from the north London club looks more likely.
Spurs need to sign an upgrade over him and then have held an interest in Wolves star Neto. The 24-year-old has three goals and 11 assists this season but his price tag could become a major problem for Spurs to sign him.
Genoa’s Icelandic international Albert Gudmundsson and Nottingham Forest attacker Morgan Gibbs-White are some of the players Tottenham could consider in the summer window.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs could look to offload 23-year-old left-back in the summer transfer window.
