Leeds United are in the mix of an intense battle for promotion to the Premier League and Daniel Farke will be really pleased with the performances of his players since the turn of the year.
After getting relegated last season, Farke made a bold call to offload almost half of the squad, either on loan or permanently. He decided to retain Crysencio Summerville and the 22-year-old attacker has repaid the faith as he enjoyed one of his best campaigns till date.
Feyenoord boss Arne Slot claimed earlier that he wanted to sign Summerville in the January transfer window but he was too expensive for them. And now, Suleyman Ozturk claims that Summerville will not return to Feyenoord despite interest from Slot.
The Voetbal international editor said that Summerville is arguably one of the best players in the Championship and he would cost in the region of £34m, He adds that at that price, Summerville has become “truly priceless” for Feyenoord.
Cry Summerville have been outstanding for Leeds United.
“I would like to see him at a higher level. He has developed fantastically over the past six months. He is fast and good on the outside, but also as a number ten. I think it should cost around 40million euros,” said Ozturk in a video as relayed by FC Update.
“He has become truly priceless for a club like Feyenoord, one of the best players in the Championship.”
Summerville has enjoyed a phenomenal campaign for the Whites where he has managed 15 goals for them. On top of that, he has also provided eight assists.
If Leeds get promoted to the Premier League, Farke will want to build a strong side around him. His performances will not go unnoticed, as several top clubs across Europe could be vying for his signature.
Leeds will not sell him cheaply and his price tag is beyond Feyenoord’s reach. The versatile Dutch attacker hasn’t scored in his last seven games, and Farke will want him to get back to his old best after the international break.
