Everton could be forced to sell some of their star players in the summer window irrespective of where they play next season.
This has been a tough campaign for the Toffees where they are fighting for survival once again. Everton have lost six points already and they could lose more points as they set for another round of hearing for breaching the FFP limit.
Everton are four points above the drop zone in the 16th place, and they are badly struggling at the moment.
If they drop down to the Championship, the Toffees are almost certain to lose some of their top players like Jordan Pickford, Amadou Onana, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jarrad Branthwaite. But even if they narrowly manage to stay up, they might struggle to keep hold of their key players due to their parlous financial situation.
With the ownership issue still not resolved, the Toffees are not in a position to plan for the future. Nevertheless, Everton are keeping a close eye on Argentine young talent Aaron Anselmino, according to a report from TuttoSport.
The Toffees are expected to face competition from the likes of Manchester United and AC Milan. The 18-year-old Boca Juniors defender has a release clause of £17.1m, and he is tipped to make the Argentine senior national team grade soon.

Anselmino looks like a cracking young talent but Everton could really struggle to lure him to Goodison Park. The likes of AC Milan and Manchester United are more attractive options for the youngster, given Everton’s plight this season.
Everton should look to bring in young talents in the summer transfer window, and a fresh transfer approach is needed. They need to groom young talents and sell them on high profits in the market.
If they can sell Brathwaite for a huge fee, the money can be well utilised in buying exciting talents like Anselmino. The Toffees can also tempt him with the lure of regular game time.
The Toffees are currently not in a position to think about transfer plans, but if the ownership issue is sorted out quickly, it could help them plan for the future.
