Liverpool are in the mix to sign Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes next summer, according to Diario AS journalist, Eduardo Burgos.
The Reds signed Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch last summer, but there is a feeling that they could still look to bring in one or two holding midfielders next summer.
Liverpool will usher in a new direction next summer under a new manager as Jurgen Klopp will leave the club at the end of the season.

Burgos claims that the Brazilian midfielder is a priority signing for Pep Guardiola next summer.
Ahead of Newcastle’s FA Cup clash against City, Guardiola has hailed him as an “exceptional” holding midfielder.
Guimaraes has been in terrific form this season, having managed three goals and five assists in 27 Premier League games this season. He has a release clause of around £96m.
Newcastle may need to sell a few top players to comply with the PSR rules, and there is a chance that Guimaraes could be sacrificed.
Do Liverpool need another holding midfielder? Endo has done a tremendous job under Klopp this season, but the Reds probably could look to bring in another top-quality midfielder, although it might hamper the progress of Stefan Bajcetic.
Guimaraes is a top-quality midfielder and he would improve any side in the world, including Liverpool, but whether the Reds would at all move for him remains to be seen.
