Chelsea representatives will attend Palmeiras’ clash with Independiente del Valle tonight to tie up Estevao Willian deal

Representatives from Chelsea will attend the Copa Libertadores game between Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A club Palmeiras and Ecuadorian Serie A club Independiente del Valle tonight to finalise a deal for Estevao Willian, according to Brazilian outlet Universo Online.

The Blues have been in talks to snap up the 17-year-old, and around £27.5 million plus substantial add-ons should be enough to land his services.

The Palmeiras attacking midfielder is one of a number of South American talents and prodigies that Chelsea have been tracking for some time as the Stamford Bridge outfit continue to prepare for the future, and the teenage sensation wants to make the move to London.

While Estevao, aka Messinho (meaning Little Messi in Portuguese) cannot join a European club until he turns 18 next April, Chelsea are desperate to recruit his services and pip competition to him as soon as possible.

Arsenal and Barcelona are both keen on Messinho, but it appears the Blues are in front of the queue, and a deal could be sealed in the coming hours.

His teammate Endrick will be joining Real Madrid in July when he turns 18, and he could soon follow suit and secure a move to one of the bigwigs in Europe.

Chelsea have been recruiting young players in recent transfer windows, and the left-footed right winger could be next in line.

Messinho has proven himself in Brazil and he has the potential to become the next Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge as he plays in a similar style to the Belgian.

He became the third player under the age of 17 to score in the Copa Libertadores after finding the back of the net in a 3-1 victory over Uruguayan club Liverpool last month, and the Blues could be about to sign a serious player capable of setting the Premier League alight.
