Newcastle United in talks to sign Tosin Adarabioyo

Newcastle United are looking to secure the signing of Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

The Magpies are expected to operate on a low budget in the summer transfer window and they may have to sell one or two players to comply with the PSR  limits.

Bolstering the defence is a top priority and according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the Magpies are looking to sign both Adarabioyo and Llyod Kelly on free transfers in the summer transfer window.

The plan is progressing well, and the Magpies are currently in talks with Adarabioyo. Newcastle is now his most likely destination, and they are clear favourites to sign him.

The 26-year-old defender values the ambition of the club and he has been impressed with the project offered to him by Newcastle.

Romano also claims that Kelly is a priority target for Eddie Howe’s side and they are working on a deal for him as well.

Newcastle look to secure double deals

The Magpies will be looking to bolster their defence in the summer, given the long-term knee injuries of centre-backs Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles.

He has been a great player for the Cottagers and would arrive as a likely starter ahead of next season. He joined Fulham in the summer of 2020 and has made over 125 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Adarabioyo has been one of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League and it would mark as a great piece of business if the Magpies can get him on board quickly.

Tottenham and West Ham are also interested in Kelly, and they could make a late approach to signing him for free. The Magpies are also checking on Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise and Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale this summer.
