Osimhen has a 'foot and a half' out the door at Napoli, and is pushing for Chelsea or Arsenal move

Victor Osimhen is poised to leave Napoli this summer, although his next destination is anyone’s guess, with several European giants lining up to secure his signature.

The Nigerian international has a release clause of around €130 million in his contract, which is expected to be activated this summer with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Arsenal hot on his heels.

PSG view Osimhen as the ideal replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who will leave the French capital as a free agent at the end of the season.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio has poured cold water on a potential return to France for Osimhen, with the Italian transfer expert suggesting a move to England appeals more to the Nigerian.

Osimhen has been vocal about his admiration for the Premier League, handing Chelsea and Arsenal the upper hand in the race to land his signature.

According to Area Napoli, the 25-year-old who has bagged 134 career goals for club and country is “a foot and a half” out the door at Napoli, who are already scouring the market for potential replacements.

While Osimhen is heavily tipped to sign for a Premier League team this summer, it remains to be seen which of the London giants he will decide to join.

Champions League football hands Arsenal the edge over Chelsea

Osimhen appears destined to ply his trade in the Premier League next season, and Arsenal have the upper hand over Chelsea in the race for the highly sought-after striker.

The Gunners can offer Osimhen a more stable environment to thrive, having transformed into title contenders over the past two seasons under Mikel Arteta’s leadership.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are still struggling to find their feet in what has been a chaotic first two years in the Todd Boehly era.

Chelsea’s absence from the Champions League also hands Arsenal an edge, but the Blues will bolster their chances of beating their capital rivals to the punch if they secure Europa League football.

Nevertheless, the ultimate decision comes down to Osimhen, who will have his pick of the bunch this summer.

A move to PSG is not totally out of the question, but it could come down to a decision between north and west London for the Nigerian marksman this summer.
