Besiktas want £21 million for Arsenal target Semih Kılıçsoy

Arsenal were excellent throughout the 2023-24 campaign but missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City

The Gunners will look to challenge for the title again next season by adding some quality players this summer.

Bolstering their attack is likely to be a priority for manager Mikel Arteta, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah both enduring an underwhelming campaign.

The North London giants are said to be targeting a move for Turkish star Semih Kılıçsoy.

But Besiktas want £21 million to let the 18-year-old leave the club, according to a report from Sabah

He has a contract at the Black Eagles until 2028, having penned his latest deal in January.

Kılıçsoy is one of the best talents to have emerged from Turkey, with his excellent development attracting interest from some of the leading European clubs including Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur

The centre-forward struck 12 goals and created three assists in 35 appearances across all competitions last season.

He has also been included in Turkey’s squad for Euro 2024 and could be seen in action in the prestigious competition in Germany.

Kılıçsoy could be a smart acquisition for Arsenal as he is very talented and could be signed for a bargain fee this summer.

The 18-year-old mainly operates as a striker but can also play on both wings.

Given his experience, he is unlikely to be ready for the Gunners’ first-team but he has the capability to be a future star at the Emirates Stadium.
